The DragInstall User's Guide is a collection of HTML documents connected by hypertext links. While this makes browsing very easy, it makes creating an index very difficult. The ability to search multiple documents using the HTML Viewer application included with DragInstall provides a very capable replacement for an index.
To perform a search for a word or phrase throughout this guide, do the following:
- Choose Find... from the Edit menu.
- Enter your search text in the Find dialog.
- Click the All files in this folder... checkbox.
- Select the folder named "Documentation" within your DragInstall folder.
- Click the Find button to begin the search.
The HTML Viewer application then searches the user's guide for any occurrences of your search text. These occurrences are compiled into a "Results" document complete with hypertext links to the place where the text appears.
The following is an example of using the search feature to locate all occurrences of the term "CD-ROM" within the user's guide. The first window shows the settings entered in the Find dialog. The second window shows the results of the search.
